Transition In Leadership: New Chapter for Salvation Army Officers in Houston

Jun 16, 2025

As part of The Salvation Army’s tradition, we bid a heartfelt farewell to several dedicated officers who have faithfully served the Greater Houston Area and welcome new officers stepping into leadership roles across our local Corps and Centers.

This season of change, while bittersweet, is part of the ongoing mission of The Salvation Army to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

We express our deepest gratitude to the officers who are moving on to new assignments in service to others. Their time in Houston has been marked by tireless commitment, compassionate leadership, and unwavering support for their communities. From leading worship services and managing community programs to coordinating disaster relief, feeding the homeless, and mentoring, these officers have impacted countless lives.

While we will miss them deeply, we are excited for what God has in store for them in their next chapter of ministry.

As we say goodbye, we also extend a warm Houston welcome to our incoming officers who are joining us from across the territory. These new leaders bring with them a wealth of experience, fresh perspectives, and a deep desire to serve.

They will be stepping into roles across various Corps and the area command in the Greater Houston Area, including Northwest Corps, Aldine Westfield, and our Adult Rehabilitation Center, and the Area command. We look forward to the energy, vision, and compassion they will bring as they become part of our Salvation Army Houston family.

Officer transitions are more than leadership changes; they are moments to reflect on the incredible work being done every day by The Salvation Army. These changes remind us of our shared mission and the enduring impact of servant leadership rooted in faith.

Please join us in praying for our outgoing and incoming officers as they navigate these changes, and as they continue the vital work of God always striving to be “Doing the Most Good.” These moves will take effect on June 22, 2025.
