The State of the Army Luncheon: A Celebration of Accomplishment and Vision for The Future
The Salvation Army of Greater Houston recently held its “State of the Army” Advisory Board Luncheon, bringing together board members, staff, and some volunteers for a time of reflection, transition, and renewed commitment to service. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and purpose.
The event began with a warm welcome from outgoing Advisory Board Chair, Vicki West, whose leadership over the past 2 years has been instrumental in advancing the mission of The Salvation Army. Her dedication and vision were deeply appreciated by all in attendance. Several Board Members along with Major Rob Webb expressed their sincere appreciation to Vicki for her incredible leadership and unwavering commitment as Advisory Board Chair over the last two years.
Additional highlights included the installation of new Advisory Board Member Rodney Jones who was installed by Vicki West and Major Rob Webb. Major Rob Webb officially welcomed and installed the incoming slate of Advisory Board Officers who will help guide the organization into the future.
We are honored to welcome Robert Bland as the new Advisory Board Chair, Deborah Duncan as Vice Chair, Lilly Andress as Secretary and Kenneth Holbrook as Treasurer.
These leaders bring a wealth of experience, passion, and dedication to The Salvation Army’s mission. During the meeting, Robert Bland offered a powerful word of challenge and encouragement, inspiring all present to stay engaged and committed to meeting the needs of our community with compassion and excellence.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Vicki West for her outstanding leadership and service as Board Chair. We look forward with great anticipation to this new chapter under the guidance of Robert Bland, Deborah Duncan, Lilly Andress and Kenneth Holbrook.
