Southern Regional Women’s Rally 2026
Women from across The Salvation Army’s Austin, San Antonio, and Houston Area Commands came together for a powerful day of faith, fellowship, and connection as they celebrated this year’s gathering, theme: “Belong.” Hosted by the Houston Northwest Corps, the event welcomed approximately 150 women for a full day dedicated to discovering purpose, building community, and strengthening one another in faith.
Throughout the day, attendees participated in two breakout sessions designed to encourage both personal reflection and practical growth.
Session 1: Breaking the Cycle & Placed on Purpose
These sessions challenged participants to identify patterns that may hold them back while discovering how God can use their experiences and gifts for a greater purpose.
Session 2: Mending Fractures & Mosaic Craft
The second round of sessions focused on healing, restoration, and the beauty that can emerge from broken or fragmented places. The mosaic craft provided a creative expression of the event’s message: what may appear broken or different can come together to create something beautiful.
From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., attendees were encouraged to reflect on what it means to belong, not only to a community, but to God’s greater purpose. The day created space for meaningful conversations, worship, learning, creativity, and fellowship.
The event featured Captain Heather Dolby from Jacksonville Citadel Florida as the guest speaker, who brought an inspiring message centered on belonging, identity, and purpose. Her message encouraged women to recognize their value and understand that each person has a unique and meaningful place within the body of Christ.
Supporting the day’s worship experience was the Houston International Praise Band, whose music helped set the tone for a day of celebration and spiritual renewal.
Adding to the day’s impact were interviews with Captain Michelle Walker, Major Missy Romack, Colonel Paula Johnson, and Major Sophia Bakhtadze. Their conversations offered encouragement and wisdom while providing attendees with personal perspectives on faith, leadership, service, and the importance of creating spaces where women feel seen, supported, and connected.
The event was a reminder that no one is meant to walk alone. Through worship, conversation, creativity, and shared experiences, women from across the Area Commands were reminded that they have a place, a purpose, and a community to belong to.
