Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary and Advisory Board Member Exceeds Expectations During Hurricane Beryl Relief Efforts
In the wake of Hurricane Beryl, The Salvation Army's disaster response efforts have been nothing short of extraordinary, a huge thank you to the unwavering dedication and hard work of our volunteers. Women's Auxiliary and Advisory Board member, Diana “Stick” Delaup, demonstrated exceptional commitment during her time volunteering. Stick has gone above and beyond expectations, providing invaluable support to those affected by the storm.
Not just coordinating efforts from behind the scenes, Stick was on the front lines, participating directly in operations at the multipurpose distribution center. From sweeping floors and cleaning bathrooms to organizing supplies, she rendered much needed service embodying the true spirit of volunteerism and compassion.
Stick’s hands-on approach was a beacon of hope for many. Her willingness to tackle even the most demanding tasks, such as ensuring cleanliness and sanitation in Emergency Disaster Services (EDS) Camp, has made a significant impact on the well-being and morale of the whole team. Her actions have not only met but exceeded expectations, setting a remarkable example of selfless leadership and dedication.
We are incredibly proud of Stick and all our volunteers who have stepped up during this challenging time. Their collective efforts have reinforced our mission to serve and support communities in crisis. Stick’s contributions remind us all of the power of compassion and the impact of dedicated service.
As we continue our relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl, we draw inspiration from Stick’s example. Her extraordinary dedication serves as a testament to the strength of our community, proving that together we can overcome any adversity. Thank you, Stick, your commitment to helping others is an inspiration to us all.
