Houston Officers Deploy to Florida for Hurricane Relief Efforts
Our dedicated officers from The Salvation Army of Greater Houston were recently deployed to Florida to provide vital support in response to the devastating hurricane that impacted the region. These officers took on key leadership roles within the disaster response effort.
Captain Chantel Millin served as the Finance and Administration Officer, Captain Nick Hutchinson took on the role of Planning Chief, Lt. Cody Johns led the logistics as the Logistics Chief, Captain Dante Salgado was the Operations Chief, ensuring the smooth execution of relief efforts in the Sarasota Florida area.
During their 14-day deployment, their team consisted of 11 feeding units and 24 disaster workers. Together, they served over 48,000 meals to individuals and families affected by Hurricane Milton, providing much-needed nourishment and comfort during this time of crisis. We are incredibly proud of our officers and disaster workers who continue to uphold the mission of The Salvation Army—Doing the Most Good—in times of great need.
