Entergy Puts Compassion Into Action in Montgomery County
On August 12, we were excited to welcome members of the Entergy team to The Salvation Army of Montgomery County for a day of learning, service, and meaningful connection.
The visit gave the Entergy team an opportunity to learn more about The Salvation Army’s mission and the vital work happening every day to support individuals and families throughout our community.
As part of their experience, the team toured our Emergency Shelter and gained a closer look at the daily check-in process guests complete as they access essential services, resources, and support. But the team didn’t stop at learning they put their hands to work! Together, the Entergy team assembled 116 toiletry bags and created 45 inspirational cards for residents of our Wayne Bergstrom Shelter.
These thoughtful acts of service provided both practical necessities and a meaningful reminder of encouragement to individuals navigating difficult circumstances.
Community partnerships like this are an important part of our ability to serve with compassion and meet people where they are. When organizations like Entergy invest their time, resources, and energy into the community, they help create moments of hope that extend far beyond a single day of service.
We are incredibly grateful to the Entergy team for bringing their time, compassion, and heart to The Salvation Army of Montgomery County. Thank you, Entergy, for partnering with us and helping make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve!
Together, we can continue to strengthen our community, serve with compassion, and bring hope to those who need it most.
