The Salvation Army of the Mississippi Gulf Coast is always in need of items for our programs.  We provide hundreds of showers and laundry services every week to homeless, our food pantries helped nearly 50,000 families last year, and we handed out over 15,000 pieces of clothing to those in need. But, the need doesn’t stop there – we also accept items such as cars, boats, lawn equipment, bikes, baby products – the list goes on and on.  With your donation, you may specify whether your donation goes to our Family Store, food pantry, to help the homeless, or to help a family in need.

Your donation to one of our Family Stores will help change a life.  All proceeds from the stores go back into programs to help those in need, such as utility assistance, homeless assistance, rehousing families, purchase food in our food pantry – and more.  Plus, items in our Family Store are also used to help clothe the homeless, provide items for victims of fire or natural disaster, and help job seekers with interview attire.  You really are Doing the Most Good when you donate items to The Salvation Army Family Store.

You may drop off your donation to our Family Stores at any Salvation Army location or directly at a store located near you.  We will also be happy to pick up your items.  Simply call 800-SA-TRUCK. You will automatically be directed to your local Salvation Army to schedule a pick-up.  Or, visit the website

Our food pantries help nearly 50,000 families every year. But, the need doesn’t stop there.  The Salvation Army also serves food, snacks, and drinks from our mobile kitchen, called a Canteen, during and after disasters.  We also provide food bags, hot coffee, and snacks for the homeless every week.  Your food donation will go a long way at The Salvation Army.

To donate food, contact 228-374-8301 or drop off your donation to our Gulfport, Pascagoula, BIloxi or Lucedale location.

The Salvation Army helps hundreds of homeless men, women, and children every month. The Salvation Army in Jackson County has a permanent shelter called The Center of Hope that allows those in need to live at the shelter and get back on their feet.  We have plans to build a similar shelter in Gulfport very soon.  Until then, our homeless services in Gulfport include the Fresh and Clean Program which allows homeless men and women to take a hot shower and have their clothes laundered by our volunteers three days a week.  We also provide a Cold Weather Shelter in Gulfport and Pascagoula.

Items needed to help our homeless clients include coffee, creamer, snacks, laundry detergent, towels, underwear, socks, gloves, jackets, and personal hygiene items such as deodorant, toothpaste, soap, shampoo and conditioner.

The possibilities are endless when it comes to donating goods to The Salvation Army! Whether it is a used car, boat, house – we will accept just about anything! Please contact 228-374-8301 or call 800-SA-Truck to be directed to a local representative that can help you with your donation.
