The Salvation Army To Recognize Volunteers At Annual Appreciation Luncheon
MILWAUKEE COUNTY - The Salvation Army of Milwaukee County will honor outstanding volunteers at its annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon on Wednesday, April 30.
The celebration will occur from 11:30 to 1 p.m. (program begins at noon) at The Salvation Army of Oak Creek, 8853 S Howell Ave, Oak Creek, WI 53154.
“We are proud to celebrate these incredible volunteers and their unwavering commitment to The Salvation Army,” said Major Beverly Gates, Area Commander for The Salvation Army of Milwaukee County.
Our army of volunteers gave more than 11,000 hours combined to the programs and services of The Salvation Army of Milwaukee County in 2024.
Those receiving awards are as follows:
- 2024 Doing the Most Good Awards: Julie Balliet, Julie Hower, Viola Redic
- 2024 Volunteer of the Year – Citadel Corps: Emily Wilder
- 2024 Volunteer of the Year – Cold Spring Corps: Tara Cavazos
- 2024 Volunteer of the Year – Oak Creek Corps: Oak Creek Women’s Ministry
- 2024 Volunteer of the Year – West Corps: Zenaida Rodriguez
- 2024 Chaplain of the Year – Naomi Dassow (posthumous), Dan Zimmerman
- 2024 Emergency Disaster Services – Scott Villmow
- 2024 Service Club of the Year – Rotary Club of Mitchell Field
- 2024 Youth Group Bell Ringers of the Year – Germantown Tri-M/NHS
- 2024 Celebrity Bell Ringing Champions – Alex Corradetti and Frankie Jupiter, CBS 58 News
- 2024 Chaplain/MPD Kettle Challenge Champions – District 4
