We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities throughout the year for groups or individuals.

Food Pantry Assistance: Volunteers are needed to help in our food pantry sorting, organizing and storing food items as well as making bags of food for families and individuals in need.
Mon – Fri | 110 Presto Lane | 8:30 am – 4:30 pm (closed from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm)
Donation Center Assistance: The Donation Center is where community members drop off their gently used goods to fill our Family Store and help those in need. Volunteers must be 18 or older and should be willing to sort through donations, hang clothes, check electronics, and help unload donations from vehicles.

Souper Bowl: Various restaurants in the Jackson area provide soup for Souper Bowl to help raise money for our feeding programs. Volunteer responsibilities may include bussing tables, monitoring check-in tables, assisting with silent auction, clean up, etc.
Super Bowl Sunday | 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
Easter Egg Hunt: This is a fun community event held every year. Volunteers will be responsible in helping set up, hide eggs, and run games and activities. They will also be needed to clean up once the event is over.
Easter Weekend | 570 East Beasley Road
Doing The Most Good Day: This is an all day mediathon. Volunteers are needed to answer phones and take down donation pledges. Volunteers are also encouraged to use their own social media to generate interest.
June 16 | 7:00 am – 7:00 pm
Labor of Love: Labor Day. This event is a 5k/10k put on by the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary. Volunteers are needed to work water stations, give directions, and cheer on participants during the race.

Northpark Mall Angel Tree: Volunteers are needed to help at our Angel Tree Adoption table at Northpark Mall.

Thanksgiving Day Meal: Volunteers will assist with assembling Thanksgiving meals, clean up and/or meal delivery to those in need.

Angel Tree Radio Week with Y101.7: Volunteers needed to help local radio personalities assist guests in adopting angels, replacing angels on the tree, bagging toys, etc.

Red Kettle Bell Ringer: Connect with your community by ringing the famous Red Kettle Bell during the Christmas season. Sponsor a Ring Day(s) with your organization, church or family and friends. Complete this form and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org.

Angel Tree Toy Shop: Volunteers must be 16 and older and should work at least 3 hour shifts to sort through and put together Christmas bags for Angel Tree recipients.
