Food Pantry Assistance: Volunteers must be willing to sort pantry items, move and restock inventory, and sort through donations.

Donation Center Assistance: The Donation Center is where community members drop off their gently used goods to fill our Family Store and help those in need. Volunteers must be 18 or older and should be willing to sort through donations, hang clothes, check electronics, and help unload donations from vehicles.

2020 EVENT NEEDS:
Souper Bowl: Various restaurants in the Jackson area provide soup for Souper Bowl to help raise money for our feeding programs. Volunteer responsibilities may include bussing tables, monitoring check-in tables, assisting with silent auction, clean up, etc.
Super Bowl Sunday | 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
Easter Egg Hunt: This is a fun community event held every year. Volunteers will be responsible in helping set up, hide eggs, and run games and activities. They will also be needed to clean up once the event is over.
April 11 | 570 East Beasley Road
Swing Fore the Kettle: This golf tournament, held at the Castlewoods Country Club, helps to fund our local programs and services. Volunteers are needed to help set up, man beverage tents and carts, serve lunch, and clean up after the event.
May 8 | Castlewoods Country Club
Do Good Day: This is an all day mediathon. Volunteers are needed to answer phones and take down donation pledges. Volunteers are also encouraged to use their own social media to generate interest.
June 25 | 7:00 am – 7:00 pm
Labor of Love: Labor Day. This event is a 5k/10k put on by the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary. Volunteers are needed to work water stations, give directions, and cheer on participants during the race.

Angel Tree Registration: Volunteers are needed to check documentation and assist with client intake for Angel Tree Christmas assistance. Volunteers should be comfortable working on a computer.

Hallelujah Carnival: Dress up to enjoy our fall festival and help give kids a fun and safe environment for trick or treating. Volunteers will assist with setup/cleanup, activities, food/candy distribution, etc.

Thanksgiving Feeding: Volunteers will assist with assembling Thanksgiving meals, clean up and/or meal delivery to those in need.

Red Kettle Bell Ringer: Connect with your community by ringing the famous Red Kettle Bell during the Christmas season. Sponsor a Ring Day(s) with your organization, church or family and friends.

Angel Tree Toy Shop: Volunteers must be 16 and older and should work at least 4 hour shifts to sort through and put together Christmas bags for Angel Tree recipients.
