THANK YOU CENTRAL ALABAMA…YOU ADOPTED EVERY ANGEL!
ANGEL TREE ADOPTIONS TOP 3,000 WITH EVERY ANGEL ADOPTED
(BIRMINGHAM, AL) – The Thanksgiving holiday brings us together to celebrate family, friends, and reflect on what we are
grateful for. Today, The Salvation Army of Greater Birmingham is thankful to the generous community that has adopted every
available Angel through The WBRC Fox 6 Gifts for Kids Salvation Army Angel Tree.
Shoppers will find the Angel Trees are bare at The Outlet Shops of Grand River and The Riverchase Galleria. More than
3, 000 children in the Greater Birmingham Area will celebrate Christmas thanks to generous donors, that picked our
Angels from the trees and adopted Angels online.
The focus now shifts to asking that all gifts for adopted Angels be returned by December 6, 2021. There are still ways to
support Angel Tree in-person and online before Christmas. “Forgotten Angel” tags will be on trees just in time for Black
Friday shopping on Friday, November 26, 2021. Forgotten Angels represent children who were adopted, but for some
unforeseen reason, their gifts were not returned in time for Christmas. Shoppers can pick up “Forgotten Angel” tags from
The Outlet Shops of Grand River and The Riverchase Galleria, as well as the following Chick-fil-A locations during the
“Stuff the Bus” promotion:
• Chick-fil-A Gardendale, November 26 – 29, 2021* (excluding Sunday) 11AM – 5 PM
• Chick-fil-A Eastwood Village, November 30 – December 2, 2021 11AM – 5 PM
Birmingham Area Commander, Major Robert Lyle said, “ We live in a very giving and generous community, and there is no
better way to share that generosity, than to help a child or family in need. We just are eternally grateful and want to say
thank you!”
