“Fighting For the Least Of These”

“….while there remains one dark soul without the light of God, I’ll fight-I’ll fight to the very end!”

Salvation Army founder William Booth penned his famous declaration “I’ll Fight” hundreds of years ago when he took to the streets to “fight” for those in society that no one else wanted.

The homeless, the drunkards, and the hopeless held a special place in his heart and now more than 100 years later that “fight” continues through the mission of The Salvation Army worldwide.

In our community, a group of courageous, faithful men filled with conviction and led by love are taking to the streets of Jackson to take up the fight for “the least of these”.

“SPECIAL FORCES” is a volunteer group that augments the work and mission of the Jackson Corps whether it is in the field responding to a disaster or mentoring men in our Center of Hope shelter.

These men are choosing to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty to make a difference in Jackson.

Governor Phil Bryant signed up to be the first member of  “Special Forces” Please join the Governor in fighting “for the least of these”!
