The Glory of God in Korea
The Salvation Army Korea Territory held a commemorative rally for its 115th anniversary with the theme Come and See, led by General Brian Peddle and Commissioner Rosalie Peddle (World President of Women’s Ministries).
The event included a united holiness meeting in Cambodia and officers’ councils and united holiness and salvation meetings in Korea.
Celebrating the mission in Cambodia
On Sunday 30 April, a united holiness meeting in the Bible College auditorium in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, celebrated the 11th anniversary of The Salvation Army’s mission in Cambodia, which is part of the Korea Territory. General Brian Peddle enrolled 122 young people as new Salvation Army soldiers.
The first commissioning of officers in Cambodia was led by territorial leaders Commissioners Chang, Man-Hee and Chang, Stephanie. Friends and family attending from all over Cambodia watched as eight Cambodian cadets were commissioned as Reflectors of Holiness. The event was significant for the growth and revival of The Salvation Army in Cambodia.
To heal the earth and do God's ministry
On Friday 4 May, active and retired officers looked back on the past five years of the territory’s ministry at officers’ councils at the Korea Baptist Theological University and Seminary. General Peddle emphasised the importance of Salvationists serving God with all their hearts, minds and strengths. Most of the officers went to the mercy seat and made a commitment as they signed their covenant reminder cards.
On Saturday 6 May, the united salvation meeting of five divisions was also held at the university. General Peddle emphasised that God calls his people to heal the earth and to do his ministry. The event included a youth group flag dance performance and the participation of the Gideon 300 Songsters. Many Salvationists went to the mercy seat to commit themselves to God’s calling.

The future of The Salvation Army
On Sunday 7 May, the united holiness meeting and praise worship service were held at Ewha Women’s University with the Seoul and Seoul South Divisions. The united holiness meeting was composed of various special programmes, with the afternoon united praise worship service held so that many soldiers could participate together. Commissioner Rosalie Peddle shared that young people are the future of The Salvation Army and encouraged everyone to pray for them, while urging the young people to follow God’s calling.
To be ready for the glory of God
The international leaders’ visit was a significant event that brought together a variety of programmes to support the growth and revival of the Korea Territory. The event provided an opportunity for officers, soldiers and young people to commit themselves to God’s calling and to live a holy life.
General Brian Peddle and Commissioner Rosalie Peddle provided leadership and guidance, emphasising the importance of Salvationists serving God with all their hearts, minds and strengths. The event was successful in inspiring and challenging the Korea Territory to be ready for the glory of God.
