After School Program “The Refuge”
Monday – Friday, 3:30 – 5:30 pm
The Salvation Army operates The Refuge after school program in low and moderate-income neighborhoods, right here in our community.
The Refuge provides children with a safe place to play and learn in a supervised and constructive environment. The Salvation Army will provide sports, arts, and music programs, which may or may not be available in the local school systems. As the economy has declined and local municipalities have struggled to fund these extracurricular programs. The Salvation Army has made efforts in your community to provide these learning opportunities.
This program was also created to support single parents/ couples/ grandparents/ caregivers that need someone to care for their kids as they work to bring some financial support for their household. The Salvation Army will always be there to help the kids of this community and to help them succeed in their education.
