Red Kettle Volunteer
The Red Kettle Campaign is The Salvation Army’s largest annual fundraiser with proceeds used to provide programs and services throughout the year.
Greet people with the spirit of Christmas! Help change the heart of our community during the Christmas season. Kettles are located at 25 area businesses throughout Greenville, Indianola, and Cleveland area. It takes an army of volunteers – over 500 volunteers needed – to man the red kettles. It’s a fun activity for the family, a church or civic group or for an individual, and we know that you’ll be blessed by the experience.
Angel Tree Volunteer
Registration & Data Entry: We are in need of people with a true affinity for ministry to help us interview Angel Tree candidates… but most importantly, we are looking for spirit filled, discerning people who are prepared to share the love of Christ who are also able to speak truth to entitlement.
Angel Tree Tom Kelly Toy Shop Volunteer
We are in need of many, many groups of men and women of all ages (age 17+) to be our Christmas Elves this year! They will check in the thousands of donated Angel Tree Christmas gifts and assemble bicycles! This is an easy one… a feel good project. This does not require a spiritual giant, just someone who has the understanding of how to dress children and seniors and to read a list. Volunteers will be going through the Christmas bags of toys and clothes to make sure there is not a melt down on Christmas morning because Thomas got a train, a basketball and goal and Suzy only got a pair of mittens. Also, making sure all children receive devotional books.
Angel Tree Distribution Volunteer
(Distribution Day) (Toy Shop Clean-Up) This is the process of the Angel Tree recipients (parents) picking up the gifts for their children to have on Christmas morning.
Youth/College Groups age 17+: Checking in the parent/guardian, leading to the Worship Service and then afterward, loading Angel Tree parent’s car.
To pray with those mothers (or seniors) who desire prayer or to invite Christ into their heart.
