Center of Hope

As our nation continues to face a challenging economic season, The Shoals is seeing a significant rise in the homeless, the hungry and the hopeless. And although the Army continues to serve with relentless passion, there is so much more we must do.

In successfully raising the needed $1,725,347.00, we will be able to complete more than a building…we will be providing more shelter, serving more food, offering more hope. This is a capital campaign. But it’s also an opportunity to be the bridge between help and home.


Building the Center of Hope will mean:

  • 12 Additional semi- private shelter beds for men
  • Expanded shelter for women and children
  • 5 additional beds for women and children
  • Expanded common areas for fellowship and personal growth
  • Resource center
  • Age appropriate family area
  • Medical exam room
  • Expanded offices for case management
  • Prayer room
  • Laundry facility
  • Expanded pantry and food storage
  • Safe and secure recreation area
  • Full-service commercial kitchen
  • Classrooms & convertible meeting spaces
  • Storage pantry for hygiene & toiletry items
  • Storehouse to manage donations & emergency service supplies
  • Administrative offices
  • Further development & expansion of existing programs & ministries
  • Expanded youth and children’s programs
  • Social services & operating endowment
