Baton Rouge, LA (November 23, 2015) – The Salvation Army of Greater Baton Rouge opens its door to those in need of a safe, warm place to stay during cold temperatures this winter. The Cold Weather Shelter, located at 7361 Airline Highway, Baton Rouge, LA 70805 will remain open to the community with extended hours until temperatures reach above 35 degrees.
Captain Brett Meredith, Commander of The Salvation Army states, “We don’t want anyone to be out in this kind of cold without anywhere to go. There is always room at The Salvation Army.”
The Salvation Army will also be providing warm blankets and hot meals during regularly scheduled shelter hours.
