At the lowest point in his life, Dontravius “Trey” Clark found hope in the words of the judge. “You don’t have to live this way!” The judge expressed confidence that better things were in store for Trey if he turned his life around. That turn-around was found at The Salvation Army Corps Recovery Center. After months of work-therapy and counseling, Trey strengthened his mind, body, and spirit. He disciplined himself to stay focused, work hard and be an example to his peers. He prepared himself for future employment, obtaining safety training and various certifications.
The hard work paid off. After graduating from the program in October of 2018, Trey now has a good job at a chemical plant. “I’m just blessed and grateful to have been able to come here to The Salvation Army.” Trey added, “It’s important to me to make my mother and my children proud. I’m making them proud!”
