Faces of the Army: Meet Madeline Guidry - Volunteer
Madeline Guidry’s dedication to community service began early, volunteering with The Salvation Army alongside her grandmother in Gonzales, Louisiana. Today, as an advisory board member for The Salvation Army of Lake Charles, her commitment to giving back is stronger than ever.
Maddy, as she's known, moved to Lake Charles and quickly made her mark in the community by founding No Limit Networking, a group that brings local professionals together. In less than two years, she established herself as a key connector, with people often describing her as a “blessing” to their businesses.
Her motto? “I put myself out there, and I’m not afraid to show up.”
Recognizing her talents, The Salvation Army invited Maddy to serve as the Events Committee Chair for their Lake Charles Corps. With determination and skill, Maddy excelled in her role, ramping up fundraising efforts and identifying new advisory board members.
Her deep passion for service is reflected in her ongoing support of The Salvation Army's programs, like Angel Tree and Kettles, which directly impact local families, especially during the holiday season. “I want to help remind our community of the great work being done by The Salvation Army,” Maddy says.
Deborah Guedry, Associate Planned Giving Director of The Salvation Army, praised Maddy’s efforts: “Madeline is truly a pillar of our work in Lake Charles. Her heart for service inspires those around her and makes a real difference in the lives of so many. We are incredibly grateful for her commitment to our mission.”
Maddy’s heart for service is deeply rooted in her faith: “The people at The Salvation Army, the staff, the Majors, everyone working behind the scenes, they are truly doing the Lord’s work.”
